What a disciplined student I am!
In Day 3 of my Floridan Culture Intensive Course, I woke up to an absolutely beautiful day. Blue skies have rarely made me happier. I caught up on email and blog-reading, finished watching episode 8 of Project Runway on YouTube, and personal care like that. Pop Pop took me to get sunglasses and steaks (sunglasses for me, steaks for dinner) and then we all went to the local farmers' market.
The word "Farmer" is slightly misleading because most of the "farmers" were artists and artisans, and I happily bought several pieces of jewelry and pressies for the family back home. We had excellent cheeseburgers from another "farmer." Pop Pop also got tackle & bait so that we can go fishing later this week.
After we returned to the condo, it was a mass exodus to the pool. I tanned... well, I don't know whether I got any darker, but it felt good to have the sun on my back and books in my hand (see photos for books I read.) Mom Mom and I even tried out the jacuzzi for half an hour, and may I suggest this as a way to relieve stress?
Tonight, we'll feast on crab & steak and probably see if Beauty Shop with Queen Latifah is on. Oh, and did I mention we have Haagen Dasz, Tagalong and this amazing cappucino crunch ice cream? I'm not exactly watching what I eat this trip.
Stay tuned for photos, to come shortly, and tomorrow's objectives and report of what promises to be a very fun, very busy day.
