Reminiscinces on Being Late

I apologize for the lack of blogging, that is not like me. My excuse? I'm on vacation. How can you expect me to blog regularly?

And don't dare talk to me about how to spell the first word of the blog post. You get what I mean.

Since we last talked, I have met with the secretary at Maud Lovelace and got very excited about prom. For the uninitiated, Prom is the magical night that happens twice in every girl's life (junior/senior) where everyone gets to dress up and look beautiful and dance forever, then split into the A) drunk, driving and hooliganing track and the B) fun, nonalchoholic AfterProm party track. Guess which one I'll be on.

I heart prom.

There's a bazillion clubs at Maud Lovelace, which I fully intend to join. All of them. The Spanish club may be a little interesting, but... I will be waiting probably about a month to go haywire on my extracurriculars. To give me time to catch my breath.

And I will be taking Latin IV and then AP. I caved.

On being late... ah, the mysteries of tardiness in formal education. When I did homeschool co-op, you were never penalized for being late (heck, usually the teacher was.) When I was in private school, they were strict. Three tardies, you land yourself in detention. I think I got to a point where I had two tardies in every class. Dangerous living. At community college... late? what's late?

And now I'm late for finishing my book. Silly me.
